Best options for getting to port in Fort Lauderdale

I'm flying in the day before since weather in Chicago could cause delays in December. I have a hotel booked and I spoke with them. They have a shuttle for $20 per person, which seems like a decent price. I know I could use Uber, Lyft, or a taxi, but I thought I'd ask for opinions and suggestions here from people who have sailed from Ft Lauderdale before.

If you can get a shuffle for $20, grab it!! Car rental at Miami Airport is usually pretty cheap plus you have a car if you need to go somewhere once you get to Ft Lauderdale and most car rental agencies have dropoff near the terminal with a shuttle. Lastly; we met a really cool Uber Driver (no I didnt bang him, yet) who we call when we arrive at Miami Airport or Ft Lauderdale Cruise terminal and he gives us a really good deal but its not $20. DM me I am happy to share his info.

I'm flying in to Ft Lauderdale airport and staying at Maritime Hotel. I haven't looked at prices for Uber or Lyft yet. My concern there is that rates could change from what I see today.
Ahhh that changes shit completely... DM me and I can give you our friends info I am sure hell beat Uber/Lyft and hes in a nice Tesla :)

stayed at a hotel last year that had a shuttle for $15. it was fine but they packed us in like sardines and made like five stops. the $20 one might be worth it if its direct, otherwise id just rideshare.
I was looking at Uber and Lyft earlier today and they were both around $15-$20, so I might end up using one. I'll ask in December when I'm checking in for further details about the shuttle. I'd not be surprised if they make multiple stops at different cruise ports, but I would guess it depends on how many people sign up for the shuttle. If I happen to bump into someone who stayed at the same hotel, who's on the same cruise, and who's willing to split an Uber or Lyft, that would be another option.

One good thing about cruise shuttles is that you may meet others on the same cruise. Everyone is excited and friendly. Its a great way to start the cruise.

Are you able to get that shuttle from a hotel? I'm flying in the night before to reduce the risk of flight delays due to Chicago winter weather.
