CruiseHuddle Missions — What the Hell Are They?

With yesterday’s launch of CruiseHuddle Missions, I’ve received a ton of compliments, questions, and suggestions, so I figured it deserved its own Discussion where I can explain what we’re building—and, more importantly, you can help us figure out where we take it next.
The basic idea behind Missions is ridiculously simple:
Do something fun. Complete the Mission. Earn free shit.
Missions are a new way to earn free CruiseHuddle access and, very soon, actual physical prizes and CruiseHuddle merch. Some Missions will help us spread the word about CruiseHuddle, while others will have absolutely nothing to do with promotion. They might encourage you to participate in the community, help another member, create something ridiculous, explore your cruise ship, or help Matthew and me make CruiseHuddle better.
Right now, we only have one Mission live, and it's focused on sharing links to CruiseHuddle. That's just the first test. Starting later today, you'll begin seeing completely different types of Missions with different levels of difficulty—and prizes to match.
For example, you might be asked to create a Discussion that gets five replies, send us your best cruise selfie, make a funny CruiseHuddle TikTok, complete a scavenger hunt aboard your ship and send us the proof, review one of your past cruises, find and report a bug, or submit an idea that actually makes CruiseHuddle better.
And yes...
I may literally create a Mission asking you to draw me a picture.
That's the beauty of this. Missions don't need to be serious. Some might take 30 seconds sitting on your couch, while another might send you wandering around a cruise ship taking ridiculous pictures while your travel companion questions every decision that brought them to this moment.
The prizes will vary just as much. CruiseHuddle access can range from a few free days all the way to Lifetime, and for particularly special Missions, I may even throw in access to my Fan Club.
We're also working on physical rewards. Because we want Missions to be fun for everyone—including members who already have paid or Lifetime access—you'll soon be able to choose points instead of membership time and redeem those points for merchandise and other goodies from the CruiseHuddle Shop.
Some Missions will simply be complete it and win. Others will be timed competitions or creative challenges where winners are selected. And because Matthew and I shouldn't have all the fun, we're building opportunities for the CruiseHuddle community to help judge the winners too.
Most importantly, Missions are not another referral program.
Yes, sometimes we'll ask you to help spread the word about CruiseHuddle. But another Mission might reward you for starting a great conversation, helping another cruiser, finding a bug, sharing something from your vacation, being creative, or simply doing something that makes this community more fun.
That's really what this is about.
Have fun. Participate. Help CruiseHuddle grow. Help us make it better. Earn some free shit along the way.
The response to Missions after only one day has been incredible, but we're just getting started. I already have a growing list of completely ridiculous Mission ideas, and I'm sure all of you can come up with even better ones.
So use this thread for questions, feedback, prize ideas, Mission ideas, or whatever else you've got.
And be careful what you suggest...
Because there's a pretty damn good chance I'll actually build it.
