Easy Nassau shore trips for our first Liberty of the Seas sailing

We’re the couple from Riverview heading on Liberty of the Seas in December and still picking ports. Nassau looks fun but we don’t want a packed tourist day. Any low-key excursions or dockside spots worth checking if we want to relax, swim a bit, and still meet people?

do junkanoo beach if you just want an easy walk from the ship. its a public beach, usually has a decent crowd and some bars. not super private though, heads up. we found it was a good spot to mingle without a rigid excursion schedule.

junkanoo is definitely the move if you dont want to book something through the ship. its like a ten minute walk, you cant miss it. chairs and umbrellas are for rent, drinks are cheap. the crowd gets pretty social, especially near the bars. we always end up chatting with people. if you want a little more separation from the port crowds, keep walking past the main junkanoo stretch. the beach gets quieter the further you go toward the fish fry area. the water is just as nice and youll see more couples and smaller groups scattered around. you can always wander back for the party vibe if you get bored. just a heads up, vendors can be a bit persistent sometimes. a simple "no thanks" works, but it's something to know if you're looking for totally chill. have you guys thought about just grabbing a day pass at a resort? sometimes its worth it just for the no-hassle vibe and a nice pool.
