First time on Regal Princess October sailing, embarkation tips?

Hey everyone. We're booked on the Regal Princess for the October 3rd cruise. This is our first time sailing with Princess, so we're not sure what to expect at embarkation. Any pointers on how early to arrive or how the process usually goes? Also, any restaurant suggestions are welcome. We've heard good things about the Crown Grill, but curious about the other spots, especially for a nice dinner. Looking forward to setting sail and maybe meeting some of you on board.

Embarkation was a breeze. We took the earliest time slot available to get our vacation started immediately. We got into our mini suite about 11:15 embarkation day, dropped our luggage and hit up the bar on the lido deck. We did the horizon grill buffet for lunch day 1, food was pretty decent and the amount of choices was pretty amazing. Crown grill was our favorite dining experience the entire trip, we ate there twice.
