Solo cruisers: meet people before sailing or once you’re onboard?

There’s something nice about boarding already knowing a few people from your sailing, but there’s also something fun about showing up knowing nobody. If you cruise solo, do you prefer connecting before the cruise and planning meetups, or meeting people naturally once onboard?

I like a mix of both. I'm solo on the Wonder next year and I'm definitely trying to connect online first. So far on CruiseHuddle I haven't had much luck, but I'm staying hopeful. It just makes the first day less awkward if you already have a drink planned with someone. Meeting people naturally onboard is great, too, especially around the pool or at a bar. But for the kind of connections I'm looking for, it's nice to have a little groundwork laid.

i’m new to trying the online thing before a cruise ive always just met people on the ship like at a late night dance spot or the casino bar and thats worked fine but im on the oosterdam next year and figured id try here too since my profile is more specific about what im looking for honestly its a mixed bag sometimes the chat is great and then you get there and the vibe is just off you know

Dude... the avatar dick pic has got to go!! Its a gorgeous cock but maybe make it the second or third pic before you visually rape me. I do agree tho about things sounds awesome in chat but then they either don't show up or just not what they claimed but really that was Reddit. Things appear to be looking up here though.
