Beware of Shore Excursions

This was my very first cruise, so I was put out at the waiting to board when I was on time. (Now I know you can get there early). It was like a floating hotel. I loved the Dutch artwork in the stariwells at each level. The ship seems well loved. The food was the best!! I couldn't wait each day for the special dessert at lunch on the Lido. I loved that it was cafeteria style and not a buffet on the Lido deck.

Cake day!! You could try every single cake they have!! I loved dressing up for dinner every night. There was an Orange night, a white night, and a formal night. The service was amazing at all the restaurants and bars.

There were not too many people at all. There were a handful of kids, but they stayed in the kids pool section. This was a great sized ship, not too big and not too small. I never had an issue getting a chair on deck at the pool. My terrible experience were the excursions because there were so many people.. I picked the most popular excursions and they were packed, I hated it.

The ship is old. The bathtub and shower in my suite were extremely well worn and I'm shocked they put anybody in this room. I wore my flip flops and didn't use the bathtub. My Signature suite was the BEST!! I had plenty of room to not feel cramped and my balcony chairs had cushions. My room was the best thing about the cruise because I just loved sitting on my balcony.

As for the ports, they weren't so interesting, just another Carribbean island and definitely way too crowded. We didn't get to go to the private island due to weather. I learned not to do the most popular excursions because they are just too crowded. Luckily I didn't do an excursion in Nassau, as it was an experience just to get off the ship and shop in the town. Wow! Next time, I won't need to get off the ship at this port. Once experienced, not needed again! haha!

Absolutely! Holland has excellent service and food!! Plus the price of the Signature Suite is the best price for a suite in any cruise line.
