Sailing to Nowhere

Full Review
I recently embarked on the Carnival Horizon, a 6-night Caribbean cruise from Miami to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Island, and back. The itinerary was promising, but the execution was mediocre. Carnival's Horizon ship had some great amenities and entertainment options, with many bars like the RedFrog Pub and the Library Bar, as well as active entertainment like a sports bar and live concerts. However, the service was hit-or-miss, with some friendly staff members and others who seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else.
Pros
Nice pools and sun decks Entertainment options like live music and comedy shows Nice cabin with an ocean view Nice daily activities like trivia and scavenger hunts Breakfast was surprisingly good
Cons
Disorganized shore excursions Unfriendly staff Dinner was a letdown Cabin was not as clean as it could have been
Tips
Book shore excursions through Carnival to avoid hassle Pack layers for colder evenings Be prepared for crowds and long lines
